| Rating no stars! Not one! as I had problem after problem from the start. The phone came with a “scratch” across the bottoms corner and camera. The phone did not come with original box nor charger and upon arrival the box was squished and the phone had only been wrapped with one layer of bubble wrap. The top of the screen popped in and out also. So you had to click the glass into place to touch up there from the start. The phone would not hold a charge and would not connect to Bluetooth although all my other iPhones have been fine. While using the phone, the phone froze on a notification and would not let me confirm it. The phone wouldn’t even restart! I had to let the phone die to restart and use again. I reached out to the company who said I could return it. As I was packaging it, I dropped the phone on CARPET and that scratch on the screen was not a scratch! It broke the screen where the scratch had been. The company denied the refund because of the crack although per their warranty it needed to be same condition. Well you called that a scratch when you sent it! Terrible terrible product for $400! Just buy new! This is obviously a scam to sell very defective phones!EDIT: After nearly a month later of Denying my return, they still have yet to send the phone back to me. So not only did they not deliver on quality at all, but now I am just out $400? AGAIN please consider buying new, I don’t have a phone nor money for a phone now. | 1 star |

| I bought this phone back in December of 2019 and intentionally waited a few months to write a review to see how the phone behaved over time.Before buying the renewed iPhone XS off of Amazon, I had only bought brand new apple products from the Apple store. I would have never considered using an alternative site, until Apple raised it’s prices on Apple Care. I have needed repairs on most of my Apple Products due to dropping my devices. I have no hate for Apple, but charging $250 for Apple care on phones is just not an option for me.I took a leap of faith and bought this version from Amazon. My XS came in the mail a few days later than expected (originally giving me the ”oh-crap-I-just-got-scammed” feeling). Besides a few smudges which came off with some rubbing alcohol and the world’s tiniest scratch–keep in mind, the renewed iPhones on amazon have to look like new from an arm’s length away– this phone is perfect.I genuinely have 0 complaints. The phone’s battery has been consistent, I charge it for about 2-3 hours every 24-36 hours if I’m using the phone heavily throughout the day, and every 48 if not. It works flawlessly–it hasn’t crashed, given me error messages, or refused to update (I’ve heard some horror stories about refurbished phones). Best of all, Amazon offers their own version of repair care for only $88.99 (comparable to Apple’s old policy).Overall, if you’re like me and you don’t need the latest version of smartphones, but know you need an accident protection plan, then just get the Amazon renewed iPhones. | First impressions, amazing! Absolutely no signs of wear; zero scratches, no faded material, and everything functions as expected! However, after comparing side by side to a factory new Iphone XS, this is where i began to notice some issues.First is the camera quality. The replacement refurbished phone looked more grainy. Looking side by side, there was a clear difference when looking at the phone closely. Actual image quality, I cant confirm.Once I noticed the camera quality difference, I then turned both phones to standby mode and noticed the bezel on the refurbished phone was a significantly more defined shade of black; very obvious in the sunlight! This is indicative of a replaced screen (and confirmed my suspicion of this after wiping it down with alcohol wipes and seeing suction marks on the screen, which is how it would have been held in place during replacement.)Next is the screen quality itself; Significantly worse than apple factory standard screen. (See pictures – Original Iphone on right, refurbished on the left). The colour is off, the blacks are weird shades, you can see individual pixels with the naked eye, it looks blurry in some areas (battery bar and smaller icons show this well – look at first and second picture for comparison), and worst is that it feels like a slower refresh rate (immediately noticed this when using the camera app). I know it says “no signs of wear or cosmetic damage when held 30cm away”, but the screen really is a let down for me. On top of this, it was installed using thick foam which made the phone screen sit WAY too high. This is when i noticed how easily the screen literally fell out….What ISN’T a let down though is the battery! A freshly installed genuine apple battery, 100% battery health! (See pictures) This makes the phone worth it, especially as a replacement for a few months; all day battery is important for my use case.If you’re not nit-picky and will be using a case, this phone will do. Otherwise, its a pretty big let down for anyone who intends to keep this phone long term. I’ve sold this to a friend for parts. Buyer beware! | 3 stars |
