New Release! Emergency Attraction by Samanthe Beck

Ten years ago when Shane Maguire chose the Marines as his escape from some trouble of his own making, he only regretted one thing—leaving Sinclair Smith behind. Despite his best intentions, she ended up as the one that got away. Now he’s back, determined to reclaim everything he gave up, including Sinclair.

Sinclair is immune to Shane’s charms. She’s immune to stolen kisses behind the gym. And she’s definitely immune to that maneuver he did in the back seat of his car… Okay, maybe her hormones are susceptible, but she has absolutely no desire to risk anything on the bad boy who broke all his promises.

When a little emergency lands her at his mercy, he offers her a deal she can’t refuse. And this time, she’ll show Shane what it means to be left wanting…

New Release! Marrying The Wrong Earl by Callie Hutton

Happy new release to author Callie Hutton! The second book in the Lords and Ladies In Love series is available now!

Another entertaining read in the Lords and Ladies In Love series from author Callie Hutton. Marrying The Wrong Earl started well with the main characters of Arabella Danvers and Nash, The Earl Of Clarendon. Their unconventional pairing was fraught with challenges from the start but the many happenings and shenanigans of both characters never failed to bring the smiles in a story that didn’t miss a step. The menagerie of house guests and subsequent obstacles they posed for the comical duo were amusing, leaving the characters reeling, with often heartfelt and tempestuous outcomes. Arabella and Nashes characters were likeable from their introductions in the story and did not waver in a read that managed to steal this readers heart. The story also contained within some noticeable mentions of Hutton’s characters from previous stories adding to what was an already favoured read.

Q&A With Author Juliette Cross!

Today’s feature post is my Q&A with author Juliette Cross! Ms Cross discusses her latest book The Black Lily, the first book in the Tales Of The Black Lily The Black Lily by Juliette juliecross_author_entangledCross is published by Entangled Publishing and is available now.

What was your hardest scene to write?

The first sex scene. These are always hard. (No pun intended.) For me, it’s about finding the right balance of emotion and passion. But I always know that even if I’m cruising along in word count that I’ll be hitting a speed bump when I hit the sex scenes.

If you didn’t write, what would you do for work?

Well, I was a teacher of high school English for 17 years, and I enjoyed that immensely. I still miss the classroom, discussing and analyzing Shakespeare and the classics. I’ve always had a deep love for mythology, classic literature, and art. My third choice would be an art gallery docent. That would be lovely.

What research do you do when you are trying to brainstorm for writing a book?

For brainstorming, it’s usually Pinterest. I’m visually stimulated. And I’ve often seen a photo or work of art that suddenly inspires an entire scene or chapter. Research varies for each book, but I spend an awful lot of time on names, and I tend to choose specific cultures/ethnicities for each paranormal race. (Example, my vampires in this series tend to have Russian names.)

What’s you favourite under-appreciated novel?

Ayn Rand’s Anthem, which is really a love story wrapped up in a political statement about individualism.

What is the first book that made you cry?

Jane Eyre. My all-time favorite book. One of the best romances ever—Gothic setting where the most unlikely couple finds their happily-ever-after.

What can readers expect next from your writing?

I’m hard at work on book 3 in the Tales of the Black Lily series. And I’ve got new paranormal projects brewing. More details soon!

New Release! The Black Lily by Juliette Cross

The Black Lily by author Juliette Cross was a fast paced, action packed, cat chasing the mouse tale, having this reader not wanting the story to finish for all the right reasons. I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the vividly depicted happenings in each of the chapters. The strong leading characters of Arabelle and Marius were breathtaking to read. A story with sneaky, shocking twists and sentimental, heartfelt moments. Thrilling reading full of surprises and extraordinary characters. The secondary personas only added further depth to an already stunning read. A story not to be missed.

Excerpt Spotlight! Too Wilde To Tame by Tonya Burrows

Excerpt

“Who said anything about a relationship?” She grinned as Greer’s scowl darkened. “Besides, if he’s divorced, that means he’s unattached. Sounds like a perfect partner for some horizontal dancing.”

He grumbled and tossed back the pills, then snatched the glass of water out of her hand. “Find a different partner.”

A little thrill danced through her heart, and she drew a deep breath to calm it. Even though he was trying to brush it off, he didn’t like the thought of her with Jesse. Was he jealous?

She should take pity on him and tell him he had no reason to be—yes, Jesse was hot, but he wasn’t the neighbor she’d been crushing on for the last couple of years.

About Too Wilde To Tame by Tonya Burrows

Too-Wilde-to-Tame-CoverFor three years, ballet teacher Natalie Taggart has lived across the hall from grumpy, reclusive, sexy Greer Wilde. Save for a handful of hellos and the occasional heated glance, they never spoke to each other.

Until the morning Greer lands on her doorstep, bleeding, beaten, and bullet-riddled.

Greer doesn’t need or want her help. He has only one goal: revenge. And nobody—not his brothers, and certainly not his too-hot-for-his-sanity next-door neighbor—is going to get in his way.
