About The Best Friend Bargain by Robin Bielman

Their friendship is about to take a turn down the aisle.

Olivia Lincoln has a plan guaranteed to get her life back on track. A plan that TheBestFriendBargain_RobinBielman_EngangledLovestruckinvolves her best friend, Danny. And he’s on board, too…until she blurts out that they’re engaged and expecting a baby, and the news spreads like wildfire.
The problem? Danny doesn’t do marriage. Or family. And everyone knows it, including Olivia.

As irritated as he might be, protecting Olivia is what Danny does. But put best friends under one roof, add house rules begging to be broken, accidental nakedness, and pancakes in bed, and what started as a marriage between friends threatens to turn into the real deal…which would ruin everything.

I laughed so much reading The Hang Up by Tawna Fenske, especially Miriam and Jason’s initial meet. Their inner dialogue kept the laughs flowing for this reader. 😀 Enough drama and a whole lot of laughs that kept my attention to the pages. The brutal honesty in the book between the characters made for a refreshing, endearing read. The comical exchanges were a total hoot! 😀 A stunner read that I could not put down.

About The Fix Up by Tawna Fenske

While he may look like the love child of a movie starlet and an NFL linebacker, Ben Langley has the people skills of a half-drowned porcupine. Why socialize when there are thefixup_TawnaFenskechemistry labs and bad sci-fi flicks? If he has any hope of taking the helm as CEO of the family business, Ben needs an image makeover. Pronto.

Enter Holly Colvin, owner of First Impressions public relations and branding firm, and the woman who just saved Ben from the clutches of an over-attentive sales clerk. Holly’s rebranded hundreds of companies in her career, but she’s never rebranded a person. The guy clearly needs help, though, and she’s just the woman for the job.

With the clock ticking for them both, Holly and Ben face off over wardrobe malfunctions and business jargon that sounds a lot sexier than it should. But can Holly make Ben into the man he thinks he should be without losing the man she’s starting to love?

“I hope I read that right.” The brunette scooted out from under his arm, and he instantly missed her softness. She looked up at him with those odd violet-gray eyes and smiled. “You looked like you were being eaten alive there, but too polite to tell her to back off.”

“Eaten alive,” he repeated, a little mesmerized by the woman’s eyes. “I’m not entirely sure.”

“Seemed like that’s what was going on. Salesgirl sees a big guy with a big budget and big—” She paused, then gave a small shrug. “Well, sometimes it brings out the worst in women.”

“Thank you,” he said, meaning it. “I’ve been flying back and forth between cities all week, so I’m a little jet-lagged and distracted. I guess I wasn’t even a hundred percent sure I was being—uh—”

“Hit on? Ogled? Mentally undressed?”

“Right.” He cleared his throat. “Not until you pointed it out. Thanks for the rescue.”

“No problem. Pay it forward sometime.”

“Is that real? It’s huge.”

She blinked, then glanced down at the paperweight-sized rock adorning her ring finger. “Nah, I keep it in my purse for when I want to avoid getting hit on at ladies’ night.”

“Does it work?”

“Not with the real jackasses, which probably defeats the purpose, huh?”

He nodded, not sure what to say to that. “I’m sorry, what was your name again?”

“Holly. Holly Colvin. I’m the owner of First Impressions.”

“First Impressions?”

“We’re a public relations and branding firm that specializes in creating and remaking corporate identities.” She fished into her purse to pull out a business card. She held it out to him and Ben started to reach for it, but Holly withdrew her hand.

“S***. Vampira the Sales Queen is headed back here.”

Before he could say anything, Holly was sliding her hand around to cup his a**. For a few beats, he thought she was copping a feel, and he hoped like hell she kept doing it. Then he realized she was tucking her card into his back pocket. She grinned and tilted her head back to look up at him.

“Gotta commit to the role, right?”

“Right,” he murmured, staring down into those slate-speckled eyes. “We certainly do.”

“I suppose we could throw in a little something extra if you really want her to buy it.”

“Like what?”
Her lips parted slightly, almost like she was braced for a kiss. Or was that his imagination? It seemed hot in here, and he was getting dizzy, and now all he could think about was claiming those perfect lips.

“I’m sure you’ll come up with something,” she murmured.

Her mouth looked so soft, so inviting, and he could have sworn her lashes fluttered low the way they might if she were waiting for him to make a move. A big move.
He knew what he needed to do. What he wanted to do.
And with that, he bent and kissed her.

Holy mother of hard-ons.

Okay, Holly couldn’t actually detect a hard-on, but she was feeling every other inch of this luscious man with the enormous hands and the sexy-geek vibe and the magical mouth that was kissing her silly in the middle of the damn furniture store.
Had she started it, or had he? Did it matter?

See what happens when this geek gets a makeover both inside and outside of the boardroom? Find out for just 99¢!

Ethan pulled this readers heartstrings and Rue was the perfect balance for him. Her character was heartfelt and also a bit comical from the start of the book, and the Chase brothers collectively, with their antics, were a total hoot and a lot of spunky.
Lots of emotions throughout the story. A book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. 🙂 Another fabulous read in the Chase Brothers series.

“This is what I don’t get, man. How do you write these incredible books when you don’t believe in love? They are the most romantic shit ever put between two covers. You write the ‘books that make America fall in love’ for Christ’s sake.”

“I hate that stupid tagline…”

“You can hate it all you want, but it’s true. You even get me weepy when I read them.” His friend smacked him on the shoulder. “We’ve been friends long enough that I can tell you I thought you had a vagina after I read your first book.” That got his attention. He swiveled his head to glare at his best friend. “What the hell are you talking about?”
“I’m just saying I didn’t believe a guy wrote them when I first read them.” He held his pointer finger up to forestall the comment Micah wanted to make. “I know you don’t actually have a vagina. I’ve seen you at the gym and you’ve got plenty going on down there to make the rest of us feel bad.”
“Stop looking at my d***, Allen. Seriously.”
“I only looked that one time, and you’re missing my point.”
“You have one?” He snorted and ducked another jab that almost made him spill his beer. “I’ve been writing for a solid week, please don’t make me read your mind.”

Allen got up and headed over to the kitchen area, opening the refrigerator to get another beer. He removed the bottle cap before he continued. “My point is that you write this shit that gets every woman in America crying and then climbing on top of their husbands who immediately start begging their doctors for Viagra by the truckload, and I don’t know how you do it when you don’t date…”

“My lifestyle doesn’t make it feasible.”
“You don’t have a sex life to speak of…”
“As long as my hands aren’t amputated, my sex life is fine.”
“That’s pathetic and disturbing,” Allen said and took a swig from his beer bottle. “But what I don’t get is how you don’t believe in love and you still write books that sell like ammo during the zombie apocalypse.”

Micah thought about explaining all the shit in his head about love and life and what went through his mind when he sat down to write a book, but he’d have to get into Becky and his marriage and his divorce and the Marines and getting blown up, and he didn’t want to go there. Not today. It wasn’t that he didn’t believe in love, it just wasn’t easy to find, and to make it last was even rarer.

“It’s not hard to sell the happily ever after in four hundred pages,” he said and finished off his beer.
